TWO local players have been named in the extended East Asia Pacific (EAP) team to participate in the Australian Country Cricket Championships in January.
Sekove Ravoka who plays for the Cowramup Cricket Club in Western Australia's Busselton Margaret River Cricket League and Maciu Gauna who plays for Wests Illawarra in New South Wales competition have been drafted in the 18-member squad.
Along with the duo, national rep Josefa Rika has also been named as assistant coach of East Asia Pacific team.
The side is made up of players from Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Japan and Fiji.
The squad will be reduced to 14 on November 11.
Teams made up of country cricketers from Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia will battle in the Australian Country Cricket Championships which will be held in Canberra from January 7 to January 14.
