THE man accused of stabbing his de-facto partner last weekend will have his case called in the High Court in Suva on November 8.
Fiji Ports Authority worker Josateki Tabua, 34, allegedly stabbed his wife following an argument on Saturday night.
Mr Tabua's wife, a police officer stationed at the Totogo Police Station, is still in a critical condition at the CWM Hospital.
DPP lawyer Meli Vosawale requested that the matter be transferred to the High Court because of the seriousness of the case.
Mr Tabua is charged with one count of act with intent to cause grievous harm.
Mr Lakshman informed Mr Tabua that the case will be transferred to the High Court and it was also the High Court that will determine if he will be released on bail.
Mr Vosawale yesterday objected to his request for bail. The case has been adjourned to November 8.
