Update: 4:21PM THE world's largest productivity promotion meeting began today at the Sheraton Fiji Resort in Nadi.
Opened by Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama, the 54th session of the Asian Productivity Organisations (APO) heads of national productivity organisations (NPOs) workshop meet to discuss how they can increase productivity through mutual cooperation between member States.
"The heads of NPOs and agriculture delegates are high ranking civil servants, businessmen and highly qualified professionals," said Kamlesh Prakash, director of the FNU's National Training and Productivity Centre.
Countries attending the meeting include Fiji, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Republic of China, India, Indonesia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, Republic of Korea, Lao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Phillipines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
Fiji joined the APO on January 1, 1984.
