DESPITE an expected low turnout about this time of the year, Mana Island Resort has a confirmed 80 per cent occupancy rate.
Resort sales and marketing manager Cecelia Frost said this was the result of the resort's annual "returnee week" celebrations next week.
"We normally have 50 per cent occupancy rate at this time of the year but right now, our occupancy rate is 80 per cent," Ms Frost said.
"This is because we have invited some of our loyal guests who return to the resort every year for 'returnee week'.
"Returnee week is a very special event for us because it is a time where we show our most loyal guests how much we appreciate their commitment to Mana Island Resort."
She said "returnee week" starting on November 4 would also mark the 41st anniversary of the resort.
"We celebrate our 41 years of operation and we're also celebrating six years of 'returnee week'.
"About 65 of our guests have confirmed that they are coming but we anticipate that number to increase as we move closer to the event.
"The whole reason why we started this event is because some of our guests have visited Mana more than 80 times and they consider the resort their home away from home and that's something that we want to thank them for.
"We've arranged a range of activities including an environment day and a village visit.
"Guests will also get a chance to mingle with the staff and have a special fun day with them."
Ms Frost said guests would also get an opportunity to have a Round Table discussion with the resort's management team.
"This is a time where they can be able to contribute to the resort's development and suggest ideas that we could use to improve our services."
