ABID Hussein was the proudest golfer in the country after winning the Fiji Bitter Vanua Levu Golf Championship.
Hussein bagged a gross score of 148 while his closest opponent VK Singh scored 153 points.
Hussein adds the Vabnua Levu title to his wins at the the Lautoka and Ba open championship title.
Even though he resides in Nadi, the Labasa native said he was proud of winning at home.
Hussein said the tournament was a good one and the turnout from local Labasa golfers was too good.
"I am proud to win the title and I thank the major sponsors Fiji Bitter and the other golfers that took part in the two-day event," he said.
"It is also good to note the interest from local golfers in Labasa and I encourage them to continue upholding the sport."
About 50 golfers took part in the tournament.
