BLACK Hawks dominated the competition at the Kinoya Volleyball Association mini-knockout tournament on Saturday.
However, they were made to work hard by Liberty, which they beat 2-1 in the final at the Savai Courts in Kinoya.
Black Hawks steamrolled 2-0 over Breakthru in the semi-finals while Liberty overcame Pistons by the same score-line.
In the women's competition, Pistons reigned supreme beating Velau Girls 2-0 in the final.
Pistons disposed of Easy Company by the same score in the semi-final while Velau Girls struggled to beat Youngstars 2-1.
The Youngstars are made up of high school girls who are taking the competition by storm.
Association treasurer Timoci Buasara said they used the tournament to select a training squad for the Vulaca Championships.
"We wanted to select players now for the Vulaca so that they can start training early," Buasara said. "This will give our team more time to train together."
