ROBERT Elder and Shanti Cook reigned again in the National Archery Championships which finished yesterday at the St Joseph's Secondary School grounds in Suva.
Elder, after winning the men's recurve title on Saturday, put on a powerful performance to scoop the men's recurve gold medal after the match play. Dipesh Kumar won the silver while the bronze medal went to George Fong.
In the men's compound event, Bill Shaw took home the gold medal while Shane Bower and Fred Leota grabbed the silver and bronze medals respectively.
In the ladies compound event, evergreen Cook won the gold medal while Lisa Leota settled for silver. Fiji Archery Association secretary Ajay Ballu was pleased with the results of the two-day championship.
He said they would finalise the five-member Fiji team for the New Zealand National Championship later this week.
Ballu thanked the Fiji Sports Commission for funding the Savusavu team's trip to Suva for the championship.
