FORMER national rep Pita Rabo made a return to local league soccer by helping his Civic side win the Suva local league super premier division.
He last played in the local league competition in 2005 before going overseas to take up a contract in New Zealand.
Yesterday, Rabo scored the first goal in their 2-0 win over North Pole in the final of the Suva local league competition at Bidesi Park.
Both teams were locked nil-all at full-time and then the mid-fielder drew first blood in the first spell of extra time.
David Matavesi scored the second goal in the second half of extra time for the Professional Security-sponsored side.
On Saturday, Rabo was the man of the match as he scored the winning goal for Melbourne Masters in the final of the International Masters Classic Football tournament against Ba Legends.
"It's a great feeling to score in both finals. I didn't expect it but I was at the right place at the right time," he said.
"It was tough playing in the local league final. I had not played local league since 2005 and then here I was up against a lot of young players."
Meanwhile, competition chairman Niranjan Prasad said both sides have qualified for the National Club Championships.
"They have never been to the NCC since it was revived a few years ago," he said.
"Overall, we had a great season and the semi-finals and the final today (yesterday) was the icing on the cake of the competition."
