LONDON - Burnley striker Danny Ings bagged a brace as the Championship leaders ended QPR's unbeaten run with a 2-0 win over their promotion rivals on Saturday. QPR arrived at Turf Moor without a defeat in their 11 previous league matches, but Ings struck twice in the second half to shatter that impressive record and move the Clarets three points clear at the top of the table.
LONDON - FIFA president Sepp Blatter wants soccer teams kicked out of competitions if their fans hurl racial abuse. The push for tougher anti-racism sanctions was revealed late Saturday by Blatter in a speech in England, days after Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure was subjected to racial abuse in Russia, which is hosting the 2018 World Cup.
Ferrer in final
VALENCIA, Spain - Defending champion David Ferrer beat former winner Nicolas Almagro 6-2 6-3 to advance to the Valencia Open ATP final on Saturday. Ferrer will play Mikhail Youzhny in Sunday's final after he defeated Dmitry Tursunov 6-2 6-4 in an all-Russian semifinal. "Youzhny is a good player," Ferrer said.

BASEL, Switzerland - Roger Federer fought past Canada's Vasek Pospisil, taking nearly three hours on Saturday to earn a 6-3 6-7 (3-7) 7-5 victory which put him into the final at his home Swiss Indoors. The five-time champion will bid for a sixth trophy on Sunday when he faces holder and top seed Juan Martin del Potro, who overcame a nose bleed and a stubborn Edouard Roger-Vasselin, 6-4 4-6 6-2.

MILAN - Inter Milan resisted a spirited fightback to secure a 4-2 win over Verona at the San Siro and leapfrog the league newcomers into fourth in Italy's Serie A on Saturday. A day after club president Massimo Moratti set a date of November 15 for an official takeover by Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir, Inter closed the gap on leaders Roma to five points.
PARIS - A last-gasp Prince Oniangue winner put the sparkle back into Reims' season on Saturday with a 3-2 win at French Ligue 1 rivals Marseille. The side from the Champagne region handed last season's runners-up a fifth straight defeat in all competitions to put Marseille boss Elie Baup under increasing pressure.
AUCKLAND - A broken leg has robbed prop Joe Moody of the chance of making his All Blacks debut on the tour of Japan and Europe. Moody has been replaced by another uncapped player, Wellington's Jeffery To'omaga-Allen, in the 36-strong squad.
