STUDENTS of Hilton Special School celebrated United Nations Day at their school on Thursday as staff members of UN missions in Fiji visited.
The visitors explained to the students about the work they do and the importance of that work.
Students also got the opportunity to take part in quizzes and garden clean-up as part of the day's activities.
Headteacher Nanise Ravisa said the students relished the opportunity to learn more about one of the world's largest most influential organisations.
"The quiz was really exciting for the kids, especially because they were being asked about the work that the UN does and it was enriching for them," Mrs Ravisa said.
"Most of the children were very inspired by a lot of the work this organisation does and even us teachers and the parents learned a lot."
