A FRAUD case involving a former employee in the Attorney-General's office will be called again on November 11.
Samuel Foster, 27, of Samabula appeared before Magistrate Shagit Somaratne on a charge of obtaining financial advantage by deception.
Foster pleaded guilty to the charge and admitted to tampering with the payroll of the unestablished staff in the A-G's office by adding additional meal allowances for two workers.
Between January 12 and June 29 last year, Foster committed the offences in which he collected $5279 from the two staff.
Foster would deposit $100 additional meal allowances into the two staff members' pay and would inform them to give him half of the money deposited into their accounts.
The matter only came to light when a discrepancy was found in the payroll and an audit was carried out, which led to Foster's arrest.
