THE race for the top place finish in the Suva Football Association club competition will be a close one.
Competition chairman Niranjan Prasad said defending champions Wailoku lost their place in the semi-final for fielding unregistered players in their quarter-final 1-0 win over Addisbrough who would now play in the semi-final.
North Pole will face All Freight Logistic Bureta at Buckhurst Park while Civic will take on Addisbrough at Bidesi Park at 10am.
"North Pole and Bureta are evenly matched because they have district reps in their team.
"North Pole has Mira Sahib, Jonas Naceva, Ravinesh Singh while Bureta has Sameula Drudru, Waisake Navunigasau and Nigel Eric Chand.
"In the other semi-final Civic has the services of Ulaiasi Tamanisau, Jale Dreloa Semi Rokoqica and Pita Rabo while Addisbrough is made up of young players and Orisi Kaitabu is one of their players who can play anywhere in the backline, even at goalkeeper."
Prasad has called on fans of Suva soccer to come and watch their district reps in action because the final will be played on the same afternoon.
"The final will be played at 2pm so fans can come and watch both the semi-finals and the final in one day."
