HOSTS Lautoka made a clean sweep in the Fiji Mens' and Mixed Netball Association Inter District Championship at the multipurpose courts yesterday.
Lautoka won the men's division, mixed division and the men's Under-23 division.
The Lautoka One team beat Suva 17-10 in the men's division final.
Suva led the first quarter 5-4. Lautoka One bounced back in the second quarter to take a 10-7 lead at half-time.
Suva, coached by Gabriele Qoro, stepped up in the third quarter to cut the deficit to two points.
Lautoka One with the backing of their fans totally dominated the final quarter shutting Suva out.
Lautoka One men's coach Josefa Turagakece said it was an exciting moment for them to win all the three titles.
He said they had been preparing for this for more than a month.
Suva gave us a tough time in the final," Turagakece said.
"Our guys had to do the hard yards. Their strength was the hard work and communication. It finally paid. We were fortunate to have Australia train and play with us during the week. That helped us a lot.
"We were down in the first quarter but then worked on our strategies to get back into the game. It is a proud moment to make it a clean sweep. We will be holding more development work after learning a lot from the Australians."
It was an all Sugar City battle in the mixed division final. Lautoka Two beat Lautoka One 19-12.
In the semi-final Lautoka One defeated Suva 12-10 while Lautoka Two beat Ra 20-11.
Lautoka topped the men's U23 division beating Nadi and Nadroga in round-robin play.
