MEMBERS of the Ra Provincial Council have unanimously agreed during their recent meeting to seek the closure of the Topcat nightclub at Barotu, Ra. Commissioner Western Commander Joeli Cawaki said government would consider the request made by the council and wanted the latter to officially lodge its complaint.
THE Ra Provincial Council collected $40,000 during the Adi Uluda fundraising campaign held in Rakiraki last week. The money raised would be used for education, development and daily operations of the provincial office.
COMMISSIONER Western Commander Joeli Cawaki told members of the Ra Provincial Council that two government stations were earmarked for development in Ra next year. He said the developments would include the construction of the DO's office, provincial agriculture and police offices, nursing stations, and a packing centre. The areas earmarked for these developments are Waimicia in Nalawa and Namarai in Nakorotubu.
