THE jet set town is preparing to set the stage for one of the country's biggest ever festival of lights.
The Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Nadi Town Council are preparing to host a three-day Diwali festival at Koroivolu Park.
Apart from amusement rides and cultural entertainment acts, organising chairman Peter Nair said the fete would culminate with one of the biggest fireworks displays the country has ever experienced on Saturday night.
"We are urging all the people in the West to come to Nadi," he said.
"We have traditional and folk dances from groups as far away as India and there will also be food stalls and amusement rides to keep all members of the family entertained."
Mr Nair said one of the biggest boosts for the festival was the fact that it was supported by Tourism Fiji.
International guests and visitors to the country are expected to witness the colourful display beginning on October 31.
