IN a bid to retain students of Naseakula District in their own primary school, a committee organised a fundraising to refurbish the school's facilities.
School manager Isoa Rasousou said the school needed much repair and children from their district were finding other schools in Labasa town to study at.
Mr Rasousou said the annual event had stopped over the past few years.
"However, this year we had decided to start the fundraising again in order to raise money and pay off the lease of the school," he said.
"The pending lease of the school is $10,000 and we target to fundraise for at least $5000.
"We are appealing to old scholars of Naseakula District Primary School to send their kind donations to a school that has been part of their academic development."
Mr Rasousou urged old scholars to submit their gifts for the school through the Bank of the South Pacific account number 5328572.
