HOST Lautoka is keen to reclaim the Fiji Men's and Mixed Netball Association Inter-District Championship title this Saturday.
The side did not participate in the IDC last year after the organisers rescheduled the event.
The hosts played warm-up matches against the touring Australia team at the multipurpose courts on Monday and Tuesday.
Lautoka Men's and Mixed Netball Association president Akuila Cama Tuilevuka said seven associations had confirmed their participation in the one-day event.
He said they were awaiting confirmations from a few associations.
"The matches will be played in the open men's, mixed and under-23 men's divisions," Tuilevuka said.
"The matches will start at 8am and should finish by 6pm. We hope that the weather will hold up. Lautoka has been preparing for more than a month. Our aim is to win the title back from Suva. We are grateful to Alini Sovu for organising the Australian's trip to Fiji. Lautoka had good hit-outs against them on two days.
"Our team men's and mixed team won their matches on Monday. I think the visitors took time to acclimatise to the conditions. On Tuesday they turned the tables around winning both matches."
Teams that have confirmed are Lautoka, Ra, Nadi, Nadroga, Suva, Tailevu and Nasinu.
