IT is certain that the issue of breast cancer is complex and the characteristic of cancer is often determined by treatment.
The World Foundation for Natural Science strongly believes that breast cancer healing lies in prevention.
World Foundation for Natural Science representative Lorraine Halliwell said since her arrival, she had been reading a lot about breast cancer and how different organisations were working together to create awareness.
Ms Halliwell said cancer was a fearful thing but it was really just a wake-up call for people, particularly women, to look at changing their direction in life.
She said looking at hazards of microwave radiation, the female breast was not only very sensitive to artificial substances and toxin but to a high degree in technological radiation.
Ms Halliwell said because of its exposed position and because of the delicate and branched thoracic ducts, the breasts acted as a sensitive antenna, even for technological radiation.
"As we are permanently surrounded by technologically-created microwaves emanating from mobile phones, mobile phone towers, cordless telephones, WI-FI stations, hot spots and microwave ovens there is a massive increase of breast cancer risk," she said.
"Metal holders which are sewn in most bras also act as additional antennae for technological radiation and this is why we emphatically suggest that only brassieres without metal holders should be worn."
She said there were studies that confirmed that negative emotions such as fear, guilty feelings or hidden anger suppressed women's immune system.
"Permanent stress is just as problematic as it can affect the hormone production in the adrenal glands, which also facilitates oestrogen dominance.
"In order to remain healthy, many women have to learn to find a balance between giving and receiving and they must learn to not constantly suppress their own needs."
She said there was an important potential for breast cancer prevention in the proper handling of stressful situations and processing of burdening emotions.
She added some of the things that women could do to prevent breast cancer was to avoid hormone active drugs, they should wear non-constricting bras that were made of organic cottons and should eat nutritious organic food.
