Update: 3:02PM POLICE officers have been severely warned on attendance at quarter parades.
Chief operations officer ACP Rusiate Tudravu warned police at this mornings third quarter parade in Nasova following last Friday's poor turn-out at the FDB foreshore.
He said while the poor turnout last week was justified with miscommunication and transportation problems, laxity would not be tolerated in the future.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro confirmed that 810 police officers were a part of the parade this morning.
ACP Tudravu had called off the parade last Friday noting the unsatisfactory turn-out by police from the Southern, Eastern, Central divisions and headquarters.
Only a little over 400 turned up from the expected 700-plus.
