FIJI Pearls coach Unaisi Rokoura was impressed by the girls who attended the final trials in Suva over the weekend.
She used the trials to select a 12-member side for the two Test matches against the Malawi Queens, on November 2 and 4 in Suva.
Malawi is ranked fifth in the world while Fiji is seventh.
"This final selection was used to select a team for the test matches and it was good to see the intensity from the girls," Rokoura said.
"It was amazing and they were really competitive against each other because everyone was fighting for a spot in the national team."
She said they would name the team today before the side marches into camp for the next two weeks. "We want the best possible side for the tests and it's good to see that the players are focused already.
"It's not going to be easy playing against Malawi because they have been preparing for a while now. They played Australia and New Zealand first before coming here.
"So coming from New Zealand to face us, they would be on the roll so we need to be as best prepared as possible."
