THE Lautoka Basketball League Association competition was held at the multipurpose courts on Saturday:

Men- Cougars defeated Tribal by default, Blazer 26 Namoli 28, Blue Devils 34 West Saints 27, Veterans 20 Blazer 18, Youngsters 33 Nadi 32. Women-Blazer 30 Namoli 20, Nadi 34 Tribal 26, Shine On 27 Nadi 16.


THE Kavatoks Raiwaqa Basketball Association Provincial competition was played at Ed's Court in Raiwaqa on Saturday:

Lau Red 31 CBM 41 (M), Lomaiviti Yellow 27 Tailevu Green 34 (M), Lomaiviti 39 Lau (W) 34, West 20 Tailevu 26 (W), Kadavu WBD over Lau White (M), Lomaiviti Green 36 Lau Red 34 (M), Lomaiviti 35 Kadavu 44 (M).


National Singles Championship

THE Raj Charan National Singles Championship was held at the Suva Bowling Club over the weekend:

Quarter-finals: Dan Lum On 1 Samuela Tui (Tui won on 3-end playoff), Arun Kumar 1 Abdul Kalim 1 (Kalim won on 3-end playoff), Ilisoni Vakatalai 1 Laqere Netava 1 (Vakatalai won on 3-end playoff), Curtis Mar 1 Nicholas Thaggard 1 (Mar won on 3-end playoff).

Semi-finals: Abdul Kalim 0 Samuela Tui 2, Ilisoni Vakatalai 0.5 Curtis Mar 1.5.

Final: Samuela Tui 1 Curtis Mar 1 (Tui won on 3-end playoff)

The Cooks United sponsored Ladies Singles Championship was played at the Suva Bowling Club over the weekend:

Semi-finals: Sala Nukivuli 1 Lavenia Ratumudu (Nukivuli won on 3-end playoff), Litia Tikoisuva 2 Radhika Prasad 0.

Final: Litia Tikoisuva 1.5 Sala Nukivuli 0.5
