BUSINESSES and organisations were inspected by the NFA last week to ensure their full compliance with fire safety requirements.
A statement issued by the NFA yesterday afternoon explained the inspections were necessary for the safety of the business, their customers and surrounding properties.
"It is important for businesses to comply with the fire safety requirements to minimise the risk of a fire happening in their property and other properties surrounding them," NFA CEO John O'Connor said in the statement.
"This is a proactive approach to fire safety in an effort to minimise the impact of fires and enhance fire safety and preparedness in industrial and commercial entities and likewise in business."
Overall, the inspection proved to have a positive outcome as the NFA expressed their gratefulness to the businesses in all municipalities for their help and compliance.
"We are continually reviewing our process as to ensure we support the business community and ensure timely and efficient processing of inspection and compliance certificate."
