LAST Friday marked the official launch of an alumni comprising of past participants of two Japanese cultural exchange programs exclusive to students of USP.
The exchange programs were Kizuna and JENESYS — both Japan Government-funded programs which encourage cultural exchange between Pacific Island students and the Japanese people.
The alumni, known as the Japan Pacific Alumni Association, is made up of student representatives from the 14-member states of USP.
The launch hosted about 150 past participants, now alumni members, to a night of celebration of numerous successful exchange trips to Japan over the past few years.
The exchanges have been going on for the past two years.
