LAST year's Project Bula Mai's Style Fiji fashion show in Nadi raised more than $125,000 for charity.
The organisation managed the feat with the assistance of local models, the generosity of the local business community and cheeky humour of Australian Rugby League legends Andrew Johns and Brad Fittler.
Renowned local personality Lenora Qereqeretabua had a close shave when she offered to lose her traditional bui-ni-ga for $10,000.
Guests at the show scrambled to raise the $10,000 within minutes.
A last-minute donation by Vinod Patel and SCA Australasia of $12,000 allowed Ms Qereqeretabua to keep her much-admired afro.
This year, the Style Fiji 2013 Charity Red Carpet Fashion Event on November 30 hopes to go one step further, both in entertainment and in the funds raised.
Organising committee member Zelda Thomas said patrons to this year's event could expect all the glitz and glamour of 2012 plus a whole lot more.
