A DINNER in honour of the Vodafone Friendly North Festival took place over the weekend.
As a way of saying "thank you" to sponsors, committee members and all parties involved in making the week-long festival a success, were treated to a hearty meal.
Held at the Kshatriya Hall in Naodamu on Saturday night, the event also allowed for guests to discuss their future plans, such as the construction of a dialysis centre at the Labasa Hospital.
"The centre would really mean a lot to people with kidney problems in Vanua Levu in terms of transportation and the availability of such medical facilities," said committee president Hazeem Hussein.
"We managed to raise more than $100,000 during this year's festival and we hope to continue to raise more in years to come because the funds are used for community projects that benefit the public."
Mr Hussein paid homage to the festival sponsors for their support and Vodafone Fiji managing director Aslam Khan acknowledged the committee members right back, thanking them for their efforts.
