THE Vodafone Fiji Bati team is gearing up for its warm-up match against the Rochdale Hornets tonight.
The side, which is based in Catterick, North Yorkshire in England, will play its first match in England as a build-up to the Rugby League World Cup.
Team media liaison officer Tomi Finau said the match would allow coach Rick Stone to finetune areas of concern before Fiji's RLWC opening match against Ireland on October 28 at the Spotland Stadium in Rochdale.
The national side underwent a rigorous training session early yesterday before visiting the British Army Camp in Catterick.
"The British Army boys will be preparing lovo and will show us around the facility and the weapons they use," Finau told Times Sport.
"The players are all looking forward to this, the spirit is high and everyone is doing fine in camp."
Meanwhile Kangaroo Josh Papalii was robbed on the Australian's first night out in Manchester.
The Kangaroos camp confirmed to AAP a player had lost money but that the incident was unlikely to become a police matter due to "the practicalities of it all".
