FIJI'S top powerlifters Isaiah Elder and veteran Sainimili Turner are expected to lead Fiji's campaign at the Oceania Championship in New Zealand in December.
However, the duo will first have to prove their worth at the final national trials this weekend.
Elder and Turner were impressive during the last trials.
Another good show tomorrow will confirm their places to Auckland, New Zealand.
Fiji Powerlifting Federation president Eliesa Irava said Elder and Turner had good chances of qualifying.
"Isaiah and Sainimili are likely to lead Fiji," he said.
"They were Fiji's representatives at the last Oceania event and again they look set if they impress on Saturday."
Irava said they were expecting more athletes to qualify for the event.
"This trial is also the qualifying event for the Oceania. During the last trials, some of the athletes came close to qualifying so I am expecting some improvements."
The trials will start at 11am at the National Fitness Centre with the weigh-in at 9am.
