STUDENTS of Mount Saint Mary's Primary School in Nadi took a break from studies yesterday and travelled to Suva as part of their social studies program.
Fifty-six students, a few parents and two teachers were all smiles as they entered the Fiji Times newsroom to see first-hand how the daily publication was compiled before members of the public get access to it.
"This has been a very educational tour for us," said tour committee president Iliesa Takape.
"It's our first time to visit the newsroom. We have heard so much about how this newspaper has been operating through the hard times, and we are so glad to finally come and see how reporters and everyone in here go about getting news."
The students return to Nadi today.
