VUALA Fashions has once again joined the fight against breast cancer.
The shop in BSP arcade is continuing its annual tradition of commemorating Pinktober with an array of balloons, ribbons and various decorations, all pink, on display.
Shop owner Inbamalar Rajan said while many organisations did their best to promote breast cancer awareness, there could never be too much.
"It is very important to cover a lot of areas, not only the newspaper," she said.
"Whatever can be done to educate people should be done, everywhere.
"It's really important because early detection is important. If women know the signs and symptoms they can approach a doctor and start treatment immediately."
Ms Rajan said she had bad experiences with cancer among some family members previously, which was a driving factor behind her continual support for the event.
