Update: 2:45PM RAINFALL that can be heavy at times should be expected around the country until next Tuesday.
That is the word from the director of the Nadi Meteorological Centre, Alipate Waqaicelua, as a trough of low pressure with moist south-easterly wind flow lies over the Fiji Group.
"From tomorrow onward until Sunday, we expect the weather to improve but there will be on and off showers, particularly in the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands and afternoon showers in the western parts," Mr Waqaicelua said.
He said the trough of low pressure would move back to the north but would be expected to return from Monday.
He added there was also a possibility of flooding of low-lying areas if heavy rainfall continued.
