THE MH Red Rock side will host a sevens tournament this weekend as part of its build-up to the Central Coast 7s tournament in Australia.
It will be the first time the Qauia side will compete in the tournament and coach Lote Rasiga said they wanted to be fully prepared.
He said they had invited 24 teams to compete in their one-day tournament at Albert Park in Suva on Saturday.
"This will be our last hit-out before we depart for Australia next week on Thursday," Rasiga said.
"Also we want to give local clubs a tournament in Suva."
Red Rock's last overseas trip was in April this year when they went to American Samoa.
"We lost by 12-14 to the Samoan national team in that tournament.
"Also, we have a lot of new boys in the squad and we want to give them good exposure.
"Those boys who did not have passports during our American Samoa trip now have their passports and they will make their international debut at the Central Coast 7s."
Rasiga said their preparation had been going well and they were looking at giving some game time to the boys.
"Last weekend we competed in the Nakelo 7s tournament and we lost to Hideaway Hurricanes in the final.
"Since then we have improved on our weaknesses and the tournament this Saturday will be our last chance to get everything right before we go to Australia."
The winner this Saturday will walk away with $2000 while the runner-up will get $800.
The Central Coast 7s tournament will be held on October 26 and 27.
