YOGENDRA Prasad is the top seed for the Nadi Open Snooker Championship which will be played at the Nadi Sports Club this Sunday.
The Fiji number four will be out to win the major title after missing on four National Rankings Championships and the Champion of Champions events this year.
He will face stiff competition from Nadi's Mahendra Deo who is ranked number five.
Tournament director Rimal Narayan said the threat would come from Ba and Lautoka players who had been competing in the Six Reds league competition weekly.
"We are grateful to Chung Lee and his family for the sponsorship," Narayan said.
"At the moment 20 players have confirmed but we expect the number to increase. The tournament is being revived after a lapse of seven years. It will be played at the Nadi Sports Club for the first time.
"The entry fee is $15 per player. The winner will get $200 while the runner-up will receive $125. The losing semi-finalists will get $75 each."
Nitesh Chand and veteran Philip Gock will lead the charge from Lautoka.
Ali Boy, Ismail Wali, Simon Reddy and Raymond Reddy are the favourites from the Ba Central Club.
Meanwhile, Fiji number one Jiten Prasad won the Champion of Champions A grade title in Suva a fortnight ago.
He defeated Viliame Umu 4-2 in the final.
Rahil Prasad won the B grade beating Raman Lal 4-3 in the final.
