THE FASANOC's Women in Sport Commission will hold a Walk & Talk event on Saturday to raise awareness of breast cancer through sports.
The event, which starts with registration at 6.30am, will be held at the NASA Base at Namaka in Nadi.
Commission chairperson Susie Yee said they had been holding the Olympic Solidarity-sponsored Walk & Talk for the past eight years and this would be the first year for the event to be held in the West.
Ms Yee said apart from other activities planned for the day, breast cancer survivors would share their experience.
"We are working with the western branch of the Fiji Cancer Society to get some survivors to speak on their experience," she said.
"We will also have a medical team that will be conducting free basic medical check-ups."
Ms Yee said they would have sports activities including Zumba sessions and free giveaways.
"Participants are requested to wear pink in support of Pinktober Breast Cancer Awareness month."
The commission has received about 180 entries so far.
Registration forms are available at the Airports Fiji Limited information desk or e-mail: email@example.com or contact 9360031.
