FOLLOWING the recovery session for the Vodafone Fiji Bati after the brutal Friday night warm-up match against the Fiji President's XIII, head coach Rick Stone said the boys were raring to go.
The 21-member squad will depart the country today to compete at the Rugby League World Cup which kicks off on October 27 in England.
Stone said the recovery session had worked wonders for the boys as they had been heavily involved with many commitments during their week in the country.
"We did a recovery session where we had some time on our hands for the first time in a week," he said.
"We allowed them to have their afternoon off. Some of the boys went to visit and spend some quality time with their friends and families before departing the country tomorrow (today).
"After a hectic week of engagements, I think they really needed and deserved a break.
"We are pretty happy before leaving the country as we had time to work on our plays a bit more. The warm-up match helped us a lot. Since we only have 21 players at the moment, we will meet up with some other boys in Australia before we leave for England."
Stone said he was hoping the support from the public would continue for the duration of the tournament and said they wanted to perform well to give back to the Fijian people.
