DIGICEL Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan will name his team for the next IRB Sevens World Series leg in Dubai and South Africa after the Coral Coast 7s in Sigatoka next month.
After watching Fiji go down to England during the Gold Coast cup quarter-final yesterday, the Englishman said he wanted players in the national squad to show him they had the quality needed to be in the team.
The Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast 7s will be held at Lawaqa Park from November 14-16.
The Dubai 7s will be held on November 29-30 followed by the South Africa tournament on December 7-8.
"I will be watching the Coral Coast 7s and I also want the boys playing against each other so when we come to selecting the side for Dubai we've got the best 12 players available," Ryan said.
"I will select the team and we will have about a month of preparations, which will include three weeks of hard camps and selection will be trimmed down every week."
Ryan has also challenged the boys after the loss to England.
"I want the boys to show me what they've learnt in the last two weeks I've been with them.
"I want to see how they fight back, how they react because places are at stake for Dubai and points are at stake in the World Series
"So it's very important that the boys put in some very good performances now and for the rest of the tournament," Ryan said
In an interview early this week, Ryan said he had already penned some names after the Fiji Centennial 7s in Suva and this will be added to the squad.
