A BA social worker will be looking to create a new record when she organises her 10th blood drive this year.
Salochana Sharma said the blood drive was for the Lautoka Hospital.
"All patients who are in need of emergency blood will benefit from this blood drive," she said.
"So far this year, we have collected 250 pints of blood for the blood bank.
"This is very handy and blood also gets transported to Suva for use.
"We are calling for people to come forth and give blood to save the lives of others.
"The blood drive will be held at the Ba Market and there will be light refreshments and lunch provided for all."
Mrs Sharma has been organising blood drives for the past 12 years and says people need to give to others and help those in need of the gift of life.
The blood drive on Saturday is scheduled for 8am to 5pm.
