NATIONAL Paralympics coach Fred Fatiaki has set his sights on taking a bigger squad to the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea in 2015.
He took only three athletes to the Pacific Mini Games in Wallis and Futuna last month where they won a silver and a bronze medal.
Fatiaki will scout for talents during the National Games for Special and Inclusive Athletics which starts today at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
"For that to happen, we need to give our athletes more exposure first," he said.
"The first step is the National Games for Special and Inclusive Athletics."
Samoa, supported by the United States Embassy in Fiji, will be the lone international team that will compete in the event.
"Samoa's inclusion is a big boost to the competition and it will surely give our athletes a new challenge."
Fatiaki also thanked the Fiji Sports Commission for its support in organising the two-day national meet.
