TWO more police officers will join other Fijian police officers on peace keeping mission in the Solomon Islands today.
The two officers will be part of the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands.
Superintendent of Police Tuapati Volau and Inspector Inoke Vosa are part of the mission.
Both men hail from Moce Island in the Lau group and have vast experience in similar peacekeeping duties.
Insp Vosa's travel to the Solomon Islands marks his first ever overseas mission after serving the country as a police officer for the last 34 years.
"Having this opportunity to serve in a mission during my final year of service is an honour for me and my family," Insp Vosa said.
In a farewell service acting commissioner of police Ravi Narayan said they should have no trouble settling in.
"Serving in the Pacific region is quite different from other mission areas due to the similarities in culture and tradition."
"Between you is more than 60 years of service so the expertise and knowledge you will be taking with you should continue to reflect the Fiji Police Force in your new area of operation."
