NASAUCOKO villagers in Navosa no longer face transportation issues, thanks to the assistance of a bus company and a mining firm.
Farmer Naibuka Vaude said since roads from Sigatoka to the village were upgraded by Viti Mining Limited and bus service schedules provided by Nikhil Buses Limited, transport issues were now history.
Mr Vaude said high transport costs, a major drawback for villagers who have ventured into commercial farming, were reduced with the introduction of scheduled bus services and the free flow of vehicles to and from the village.
"Villagers can choose any market of their choice such as Nadroga, Nadi, Lautoka or even Suva to sell their produce because of available and reliable transportation," he said.
"The transportation cost is not an issue nowadays because we can transport our farm produce in buses."
Mr Vaude said Nikhil Buses Limited was a blessing, allowing villagers to transport their market produce.
