NAKELO District School took out the Bulabalavu Trophy at the Tailevu South Cricket Competitions on their home ground.
The trophy had been donated by Cricket Fiji's development officer Joji Bulabalavu who is in charge of the Nausori schools.
Nakelo District Cricket co-ordinator Luke Naitini said he was grateful for the initiative created by Cricket Fiji.
"Seeing the way the students have been enthusiastic about the sport, it's given us a perspective to provide them with a standard ground, with a pitch and nets to ensure that they continue to enhance their skills," he said.
Nuku, Nakelo and Nabitu district schools led their respective pools in the Zig Zag catching skills competitions with Cautata, Ratu Sauvoli and Kaba District Schools taking the top positions in their respective schools for the high catch skills competition.
Nakelo manager Aca Small said the sport had ignited a spirit of friendship among the students and that was something they hoped they could continue to do in the future.
"It's great that we have a competition as such, because the students at such a young age, come and mingle," he said.
