A MEDICAL team from the Western Division will depart for the Yasawas soon to conduct medical clinics in villages in the island group.
The two-week medical camp will include health checks in the Mamanuca and the Malolo groups of islands.
The Health Ministry's deputy secretary services, Dr Metuisela Tuicakau, said the team was preparing for the outreach to the maritime zone.
Dr Tuicakau said the teams of doctors, nurses, dentists, health inspectors, family and mental health officers and health maintenance officials would visit all health facilities in the island groups.
The team will depart on October 13 on the MV Rogovoka.
Meanwhile, the ministry confirmed it was working on providing patients with dialysis treatment.
"We are currently assisting patients for dialysis but only at the Kidney Foundation of Fiji," said Dr Tuicakau.
"In regards to Nadi, we are in the process of getting all financial protocols as per government procedures but patients will need recommendations from physicians at the Lautoka Hospital." he said
