RAKIRAKI'S Inter District Competition campaign has been boosted with Bargain Box coming on board as its major sponsor.
The Maroons are expected to field a powerful line-up in the five-day competition after signing up some experienced players in the past transfer window.
Former Lautoka reps Madre Varan and Abinesh Salesh Samy will play for the westerners.
Jale Vota has returned while Rakiraki has roped in Andrew Naicker, Amini Nimilote and Esori Gaunavinaka from Tailevu Naitasiri.
Rakiraki Football Association president Shaneel Gounder said the Bargain Box sponsorship could not have come at a better time allowing them to go into camp from this weekend.
He said the team had been preparing for the last three weeks.
"The team has been training at the Wairuku Primary School ground daily," Gounder said.
"The two players from Lautoka have been attending the weekend training sessions. Veteran Aseli Cobuta is part of the team.
"We have named a strong side after a long time. We have not won the title since 2007 and want to win this time round.
"Anything can happen in 60 minutes soccer so we will have to take our chances.
"We would like the Rakiraki public to get behind the team.
"It is always good to have the fans attend the training sessions as it lifts the morale of the players."
Rakiraki is grouped with Bua, Dreketi and Tavua in Pool B.
