FITNESS is one area defending champion Suva is working on ahead of the Courts Inter District Competition in Lautoka next week.
The Finance Pacific-sponsored team shifted camp to Raviravi in Ba earlier this week in a bid to acclimatise to the western conditions.
Veteran Keni Doidoi joined the Whites upon his arrival from New Zealand on Wednesday.
Suva coach Gurjeet Singh said Doidoi would add experience to the side.
"Keni will have to get his fitness level up," Singh said.
"He is in the squad but is not guaranteed a spot in the starting line-up. We are based in the West to acclimatise to the conditions and to get all the boys to train together.
"The preparations have been going on well. We would like to thank the Lautoka officials for allowing their Design Engineering Blues team to play warm up matches with us every second day. They have been co-operative and have also provided dinner for couple of days.
"A few days are left and we will try to tie up the loose ends. We are still working on the fitness level of the players.
"There are no injury concerns. Every team will be prepared. There will be pressure on us as defending champions and also because we haven't won any tournaments this year."
Suva is pooled with Nadroga, Nadi and Navua.
