THE refurbishment of the nurses' quarters at Nadi Hospital cost $75,000.
This was revealed by Nadi Hospital Board of Visitors Trust which has been behind several projects benefiting the hospital this year.
"The nurses' quarters have just been completed and that cost $75,000 and we are planning to go on to our next project which is scheduled to start in November," said trust secretary Sunila Karan.
"We are planning to construct a canteen unit that will cost about $40,000 and that's going to be our final project for 2013."
Ms Karan said the trust had overseen several projects for the hospital since the start of the year.
"We have installed floodlights, water pumps, water tanks and carried out upgrades of the road at the hospital with a budget of around $150,000.
"We hope to continue more projects in the future but with that we would need more funding.
"We hope more people from the Nadi community come forward and assist us with these projects because this is their hospital and it is a place where they receive health care."
Ms Karan said the hospital had planned for projects for next year.
"We are looking at upgrading the waiting area and outpatients unit and we've already started approaching people for funding for these projects."
