TOKATOKA Westfield Barbarians players are eager to prove their worth at theFiji Water Centennial International 7s tournament.
Playing as the Fiji Warriors, the Babaas have players such as Filipe Nakosi, Waisea Nacuqu, Asaeli Vula and Makiti Turuva who are all knocking on the selection doors to the Fiji 7s team.
Nakosi is one of the consistent players in the team.
Combining with elder brother, Pio Tuwai, Nakosi is always dangerous when in possession out wide.
Westfield Babas rugby president Ponijese Lou Rayasi said most of his players had the potential to be future national reps. "We have a couple of players that should be in the national squad. This is an opportunity for the players to prove themselves," he said.
Rayasi said the side was honoured to be invited to play against international teams from France, Argentina and the US.
"This is a huge opportunity for these players. We are used to playing local tournaments but we have advised the players that they are representing Fiji and no longer the club.
"They have a point to prove and we are hoping for the best."
The Fiji Warriors play France in its first pool match at 9.22am.
