VETERAN Viliame Umu will defend the Fiji Bitter/Coca-Cola Champion of Champions Snooker title in Suva this weekend.
The Tubou, Lakeba, Lau native won the A grade event last year beating Jiten Prasad of Nausori in the final.
He will face stiff competition from former champions Praneel Singh and Yogendra Prasad.
Billiards and Snooker Association of Fiji president Riffat Bhatti said the top 16 players in the A grade had been finalised.
He said a pool system would be played to give the participants more game time.
"We cannot make any predictions because the national ranking events were won by four different players," Bhatti said.
"The standard of competition will be high. The players are practising daily.
"We are yet to finalise the top 16 players in the B grade.
"After this competition we will hold an inter club event. This will give the clubs a chance to show their best talents."
The inter club championship will be held at the Tavua Club from November 30 to December 1.
