THE Vodafone Fiji Bati team for the Rugby League World Cup is expected to be finalised later today.
With three places yet to be confirmed, team manager Mesake Navugona said they were likely to finalise those places by today.
Akuila Uate, Jarryd Hayne and John Sutton are being eyed to complete the Fiji Bati team.
Hayne is highly likely to be named in the Kangaroos which rule him out of contention leaving only Uate and Sutton in frame.
Both the players clubs are out of the National Rugby League competition after their sides slumped in the preliminary finals over the weekend.
Sutton's Rabbitohs went down to Manly Sea Eagles 20-30 while Uate's Knights lost to Roosters 14-40. Peni Botiki and Taqele Naiyaravaro are the shadow players in the squad vying for spot in the final team.
Meanwhile, the Bati players that are already in the country have been released to spend time with their loved ones before joining camp on October 7.
"We want players to come back fresh and ready for the world cup. Assistant coach Jo Rabele has issued a training program for them to follow during this time," Navugona said.
"Everything is on track. This coming week will be busy because we have to make sure everything is in place for the overseas-based players."
The overseas-based reps will be arriving in the country on October 7 for a week-long camp where they will spend time bonding with each other.
