BENITO Eremasi is looking forward to learning from newly-appointed Digicel Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan.
Ryan was named to lead the national team for the next three years by the Fiji Rugby Union last week.
The Englishman is likely to coach players such as Eremasi in the Fiji team. The Vakativa, Cakaudrove lad said Ryan's appointment was a stepping stone for the FRU.
"We all expect new tactics from Ben as we all know different coaches have different tactics," Eremasi said. "We as players are expecting new things from Ben in training and also the playing style."
The 24-year-old, who is part of the Fiji 7s squad for the 2013/14 HSBC Sevens World Series, is keen to continue representing the country in the international 7s circuit.
Masilevu, along with the Suva-based players, are training twice daily to keep themselves in shape for the 2013/14 7s season.
"We don't know yet what he is expecting from us but we know all coaches expect players to be fit so that's why we are doing the extra training so that when Ben arrives it makes it easy for him to set up his team," Eremasi said.
"Personally I have gained much confidence after leading the team at the Mini Games but I realise there is still room for improvement and I'm working on it."
Eremasi said he was looking forward to playing in the FIJI Water Centennial International 7s tournament which will be held at the ANZ Stadium in Suva this week.
