FOREIGN Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola has held bilateral meetings with his Australia and New Zealand counterparts.
Ratu Inoke, who is in New York for the UN General Assembly's 68th session, updated New Zealand Foreign Minister Murray McCully and his Australian counterpart Julie Bishop on Fiji's Constitution, and further steps taken along the roadmap to elections.
According to an Information Ministry statement frank and fruitful discussions were held between the ministers.
The statement said in acknowledging the progress Fiji has made, Ms Bishop recognised Fiji's steadfast contributions to UN peacekeeping, in particular the willingness to deploy to difficult situations around the world.
She also acknowledged Fiji's standing in the UN community through its G77 chairmanship in 2013.
