THE police force yesterday paid tribute to 25 of its officers who died last year.
A Remembrance Day dawn service was conducted in Nasinu yesterday attended by families, friends, diplomats and acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.
"We remember them for the contributions they made to our nation," Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.
"We thank them for their important work in the pursuit of a safer, fairer and more just Fiji. It is their job to serve, and it is our job to remember, to hold them in our memories."
Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said the nation was grateful for their service.
He also challenged active police officers to follow in their footsteps and do justice to their legacy.
